Convince me! My reading of history and how the political process works shows me that the hourly laws we have now came after it had been won by workers in the street. Unions were winning contracts with overtime pay, so the law was passed so employers could say "You don't need unions, the law protects you." Someone with a different view, SPEAKUP! : : I agree! The fact that employers can force you to work unlimited hours is outrageous, especially when you consider what a pro-business policy that is. I mean, instead of hiring more workers (and paying more insurance benefits and so on) they just squeeze the ones they have. I wish workers would get together and speak out. If all workers voted, legislators would have to listen to us. Then, we could change that policy. We need a "no overtime" movement. Follow Ups
