While these groups exist to help you and others like you, they cannot act on your behalf. They can give you many of the resources you need, but the responsibility to act will remain yours. You and your co-workers will have to decide how visible you are willing to be and how far you are willing to push. There are laws which not only require a safe workplace, but also protect workers who speak out about unsafe conditions. Workers, whether union or non-union, should not have to put themselves at risk when they come to work.
