consider organizing as an alternative to accepting whatever garbage and
inequities employers and human resource departments choose to hand out.
Unions like the Service Employees (SEIU), the Office and Professional Employees (OPEIU), the Communications Workers of America (CWA), and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) are looking for workers with issues like yours--issues of injustice in the workplace-and they are investing resources to provide you with the means to address those injustices. So, Mel, you do have options other than swallowing hard and taking It or looking for another job (where you might well find similar treatment). Get out your phone book and call up one of those unions! |
