: Marian,
: All of us have known how hard waitressing is, has been, and will be. Due to the nature of the work, the abuse, long hours, sometimes thankless efforts, it is considered to be a low end job and treated that way. I have met many people who wanted to pickup part time work, performed the waitressing jobs. We, as a country eat out at restaurants more than anyone else in the world, but the servers are treated ugly. I wonder if all the waitresses went on strike, what the people would do...cater the food? ha! dont think so for very long! Thanks for your help Marian.

:
: : I know my sister waitresses have stories to tell, angst to vent---How is it this is practically the only "profession" that is not addressed on this site? I am looking for anecdotes, experiences, gripes, etc to compose a "tell-all" Anyone?

I am new at this and I have only been waitressing for 3 weeks. I like getting the extra cash. So if you guys can tell me anything that would be helpful. Other than that I get alohng with alot of nice people there
