The shop I work in is a fine mens clothing shop but has no air-conditioning and the company has been barking from June 2001 (when we were suppossed to get refurbished) that it shall be getting a refurbishment soon. Ever since the company has taken over (August 1999), the shop has got hotter and hotter. Many of the staff have come and gone and the temperature is a related factor. The temperature inside the shop is VERY warm and people are not feeling well (mostly staff as well as a few customers). Everytime you go into the shop (which is based in a shopping complex), you start to perspire within a few minutes; the humidity just hits you and I'm sure there must be a law to protect us employees. Chatting to the manager has occurred many times but to no avail. I think this damn company will carry on playing us alon until September and then decide to refurbish, but by then autumn would have dawned and there would be a lesser (only slightly though) need for the Air-conditioning Please help.
