Re: temperature in workplace Posted by: simon raddy on July 05, 19101 at 19:50:49: In Response to: temperature in workplace posted by C on July 07, 1999 at 17:11:03: please could you email me with any results that you recieved about the temperature of your workplace as today dated 5,7,2001 we had a stoppage of work due to unREASONABLE working conditions in a paint application enviornment where the temperature is 33 celcius,as i am aware of the law in the uk a lot is put on the word reasonable which is open to a great debate in itself. Our supervisor instructed the workers to go back to work, and loss of pay for the period of refusal to work in unreasonable conditions, but we stated that we were prepared to work in any other place within th factory so therfore not breaking our working contract. so as i am aware there is no upper working temperatre limit as there is a lower one set at 16 but ignored for the first hour of work. I would be grateful for any information that you recieved regards simon Follow Ups
