: What I have found in my experience is that workers who get away with murder know something the boss did that was wrong, are willing to do illegal things such as participate in discrimination or participate in smuggling, or "flirt" with the boss. There isnot much you can do except try not to take crap from them. From my experiences, don't complain about them to the boss-the boss obviously really favors them so the boss would just get mad at you. Unfair, of course but that's just a word from the wise. If you can, avoid taking on more of this girls work-I've found that once it starts, it never ends. People like that will take advantage of you in every way they can, and the boss will condone it as long as the work gets done. I had a coworker who, among maannnnnnnyyyyy things, ran a personal typing service out of the office using the office computer (kicking me off of it) during office time for cash pay under the table. I complained to the boss as I had to do her work when she was typing up a paper and got kicked of the computer when I had work to do. What happened? I got a long story about how the poor girl didn't know how to manage her personal finances so she needed the extra money so I should help her out in an;y way I can. (it was rumored that they were having an affair, they sure flirted a lot). Plus I got hollered at for complaining.
