I just got home from my last day of this bull shit. I am tired of being expected to kiss ass for pennies and $5 raises. I'm tired of an occasional "pizza party" being compensation for the constant overtime I'm putting in. And I am no longer busting my ass so some Neanderthal manager can get the credit for doing nothing. For years I have watched men and women compromise what is really important to them; eachother, their children, their time with their families....and for what??? The corporate bottom line? So other people can get rich from our talents? Is the money really worth it when the things that really matter in our lives are falling apart from lack of attention?? I think today's work force lacks self confidence in themselves!! WAKE UP PEOPLE!! We are SMART, INTELLIGENT AND ABLE!!! Why not put our talents to work for ourselves! I'm sure, from time to time, everyone out there has had an idea at 3 a.m. that might have given them a little hope....maybe it was about going back to school and learning to do something you love....maybe it was about starting some business...But, than we talk ourselves out of it!! Why???? Just browse the web for a moment, or watch a commercial.....look at the crap people are making millions off of??? Why have we become so beat down?? After all, who is really running the show? Too many people just sit by and fear speaking up....because they fear loosing their jobs.....but what are you really getting out of your job anyways??? I know mine has given me a bad case of acid reflux and an eye twitch! Nothing is going to change until these companies are forced to wake up and listen....and that's not going to happen if we keep taking it! And, as SCARED!! stated, capitalism is still alive and well. If you really think about it, don't you think THEY can be replaced as easily as YOU can??
