Eighteen wheels, eighteen hours! Posted by: Mic on February 13, 1999 at 08:29:03: I work in the beverage delivery service, Pop, beer, milk.....most of us drivers work long hard hours. It's very common at month end (boss has to get his quota) to work 14 to 18 hours a day. The law allows them to work us 15 hours on 8 off max. But the pressure put on the drivers to "do you'r part is so strong that many drivers feel forced to go beyond 15. I personaly brought back half a semi full of pop after 16 hours, tossed the keys and went home but many keep driving. So look out when you see a late night delivery truck, the driver may be half asleep.
