Overtime without pay Posted by: Sandy Dubin on December 13, 1998 at 20:13:11: I just read your story, "How To Beat The Boss." It was very timely because I am convinced that there are many women in administrative and secretarial positions, as well as men in programming and other computer related jobs, who were hired on an exempt basis for a 40 hour work week and are working many overtime hours and not getting paid. I am seriously considering starting a referendum in California to overturn or fine tune the labor laws to eliminate this situation entirely. However, I need to get a sampling of how many people are in this position and how many would vote to overturn or change the laws behind it. Any advice, help, guidance, etc., will be most appreciated.
