Retail, is a low paying field. The clerks have absolutley NO control over the extended hours or the pay scale. In commission retail, the sales people I know often perform work "off the clock" so that their sales per hour isn't lowered. Sad, huh? I wonder if other jobs have these problems? Kinda reminds me of "sweatshops" : : : Kate, : : Good to hear from a manager that understands some of it. I wonder if customers treat the clerks that way, at least in part, because the owners treat them like dirt and seem to get away with it. Who pays such lousey wages and assigns such crappy hours?
