Salary Rates Posted by: Mel Zagala on September 07, 1998 at 13:43:37: I've been working for 5 years in this company before it was bought by the present owner. Our salary was not adjusted. It was carried over. As the most senior in my position, I had to trained the new temporaries. But my problem surfaced when I found out that when the temporaries got hired, they were given a higher starting rates than what I was getting, that even my supervisor was surprised and personally told me she would take care of my rate. I informed our human resources director of my case and he told me he would look into it, twice I emailed a reminder to him but its been a month now and nothing is being done. My question is, is this legal,I know it is not fair to us, but is the management liable for unfair labor practice. Is there anything I can do to make the management act on my case?, can I refer this to a labor lawyer? I'll appreciate it very much for any advise I can get. Cause it is really causing mental torture on my part everytime I see those new hired temps doing the same thing I do but getting more money than me. I'm already on the verge just quitting. Right now I'm starting to look for another job.Thanks...Mel Follow Ups
