I HAVE A NURSE MANAGER WHO IS OK, BUT IS REALLY SNOTTY AND ALLOWS ANY ONE WHETHER IT IS AN LPN, AIDE OR SECRETARY HAVE POWER IN OUR ER. THE CRITERIA TO BE EMPOWERED INCLUDES BEING SNOTTY, TWO FACE OR DEMONSTRATE PREDITOR BEHAVIOR. ITS REALLY SAD SHE IS SO BUSY SHE NEVER ,EVER HAS TIME TO SAY HI TO A PATIENT AND ONCE I RECIEVED A COMPLIMENT FROM THE ADMINISTRATOR FROM A PATIENT AND THE ADMINISTRATOR SAID EVERY TIME I,M ON DUTY THE COMPLAINTS GO DOWN AND SADISFACTION GOES UP. MY OWN BOSS DIDNT LET ME KNOW THIS I HAD TO HEAR THIS FROM MY OWN NURSE MANAGER, AND MY OWN DOCTOR WHO IS ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS. MY BOSS WAS AT THE MEETING. IM SICK OF THE LATERAL HOSTILITY AND SNOTTY ATTITUDES IN NURSING. I WISH I COULD GET OUT BUT I CANT AFFORD IT.
